Earth moving and mining

We provide a variety of steels in varying thicknesses and strengths to meet the rigorous demands and performance requirements of earth moving and mining equipment. Fabrication is made easier with special grades design for improved laser cutting, welding and post heat treatability for case hardening. A full suite of abrasion grades is available to tailor the life expectancy or reduce thickness requirements for lightweighting. Recommended products include Relia™, Durabor^® and LASEReady^®.

Agriculture

Ultra high strength steels are available to enable light weighting of harvesting equipment for increased fuel efficiency and lower carbon emissions. This steel can also offer enhanced abrasion performance, which is necessary for parts seeing increased wear.

Lifting

Lifting equipment requires stiffness and light weight in the boom to allow increased payload capacity. Also important are toughness and fatigue performance for safety and long life. Ultra-high strength hot-rolled steels are available to allow design flexibility, extension and strength.
