Building products

ArcelorMittal supplies flat sheet steels — including hot dip galvanized, galvannealed, Galvalume™ and electrogalvanized — for beams, flooring, roofing, cladding and walling. Cold rolled and metallic coated steels support interior and exterior doors, while galvanized structural grades serve load bearing walls and steel decks. Our flat products also include specialty beams and non concrete roofing systems.

HVAC and water heater

Type 1 aluminized steel is used for furnace heat exchangers and can be formed into tubes, or stamped into intricate clam shell designs. Higher strength materials are available for increased performance against thermal fatigue. Corrosion is a concern for outdoor condenser and heat pump units. Galvanized steel combined with paint systems can provide the protection needed for long term exposure. Hot water tanks are made from steels that can be coated with enamel and fired at high temperatures while still retaining strength. Stamping of bathtubs requires steel with deep drawing properties and enamelability.
