ArcelorMittal Calvert is a world class, U.S. steelmaking and finishing facility providing a full range of advanced flat rolled steels.

We are one of the world’s most advanced steel plants, producing 5.3 million tons of flat-rolled steel annually. Our new steelmaking facility marks a transformative milestone in our site's evolution - shifting from a world-class steel finishing operation to a fully integrated steel producer.

The state-of-the-art facility enables ArcelorMittal Calvert to produce its own steel slabs on site, reducing reliance on external suppliers while increasing flexibility, resilience, and speed to market.

ArcelorMittal Calvert serves the automotive, construction, pipe and tube, service center, and appliance/HVAC industries with a broad portfolio of steel grades for high-value applications, including hot-rolled bands, hot-rolled pickled and oiled, cold-rolled, and advanced coated products. We also help to meet increasing OEM demand for advanced high-strength steels that are needed to produce lighter-weight, more fuel-efficient vehicles.

ArcelorMittal Calvert was originally formed through the 2014 acquisition of the ThyssenKrupp Steel USA facility by ArcelorMittal and Nippon Steel Corporation. The company was then known as AM/NS Calvert and was renamed ArcelorMittal Calvert after ArcelorMittal acquired Nippon Steel's interest in 2025.
