Chris Richards

Chris Richards currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of ArcelorMittal Calvert, reporting to John Brett.

Chris started his steel career as a quality assurance engineer at Bethlehem Steel and ascended through various roles of increasing responsibility, encompassing operations, quality assurance, process technology, logistics and customer service. He became part of the leadership team of AM/NS Calvert in 2014 when ArcelorMittal and Nippon Steel completed their acquisition of the facility, now wholly owned by ArcelorMittal as of 2025.

Chris earned a Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Idaho and a Master of Business Administration from St. Bonaventure University.
