Achal Khanna

Achal Khanna currently serves as Chief Financial Officer for ArcelorMittal North America, reporting to John Brett.

Achal joined the group in 2004 as internal auditor at ArcelorMittal Mexico. In 2006 he became head of internal audit at ArcelorMittal Mexico. Achal moved to the finance department in Mexico in 2007 as a business controller wherein he was responsible for costing and budgeting, sales controlling and purchase controlling. In 2011 he moved to the mining segment in London as head of finance & accounting, before returning to Mexico in May 2015, where he took the position of chief financial officer for ArcelorMittal Mexico.

Prior to joining the group, Achal worked at PwC and KPMG. He holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata, India, and a chartered accountant degree from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
